White Cattle Company started in 2004, but its legacy dates back to the late 1800's when Benjamin White, a lawyer, inherited one-half of the family ranch in Eagle, Colorado from his mother.  He ran Longhorns brought over from Texas, but soon began phasing them out in favor of Hereford cattle.

Ben White's son Morton started putting together a small herd of registered Hereford cattle of his own.  In 1970, Mort and his son, Butch, bought a ranch in Southwest Wyoming and continued under the new name of Mort White and Son (later changing the name to White Herefords) having annual bull sales until 1998.  

Utilizing herd bulls purchased from Cooper and Holden in Montana, Pruett Wray in Arizona, Beibers in South Dakota, along with reputable breeders in both Nebraska & Wyoming enabled the ranch to offer high quality registered bulls and heifers in their annual sale.

In 2000, Butch and Jody and son Coby along with his wife Cora moved from Wyoming to the Nebraska Sandhills and became White Ranch, running a commercial herd of Hereford, black, and black baldy cows.  Butch’s daughter Jana and son Joel stayed in Wyoming.  Joel White and his wife, Karri, continue the purebred Hereford tradition in Buffalo, Wyoming.  Their children Brian and Lauren are the fifth generation of Hereford breeders.

White Cattle Company raises premier bulls and heifers, focusing on maternal and structural correctness traits.  Along with Herefords we also market club calves and Red Angus seed stock.

This is an outstanding daughter of L18. She was purchased at the Hoffman/Topp Female Sale in 2009. She is the mother of GO 3196 Advance S109. Look for embryos out of Bailout coming soon!

This female has proven herself! Purchased from Hoffman Herefords in 2006, Kathy had a great show career and has proven to be an equally great donor. She is the dam to 2 of the 3 bulls in the Hereford Grand Champion Pen of Three at the National Western Stock Show 2010. Her females are just as exciting!

This was the high selling heifer out of Ned and Jan Wards sale in 2006. She is owned by White Cattle Company, Upstream Ranch, Bekins and Lohr Herefords.  Upstream Ranch sold a daughter for $18,000 at their 2009 sale. Script Embryos’ available now!

This Heat Seeker daughter was bought out of the Season Finale sale in 2009. Bred by Larry Campbell, she is a full sib to a steer named Cash shown by us that had a great show career! She has tons of body and carries her thickness lower than most. Has a Total Solution steer calf at side.
